  10. Stop the specified Internet server, rejecting any further remote
  11. connect requests.  Existing connections are allowed to complete
  12. normally.

  14. For example, you could enter 'stop telnet' if you expect to be
  15. unavailable to respond to a Telnet request.  Then, when anyone
  16. tries to telnet to you, they will get the message "Closed
  17. (Reset)."  This is not the most informative message, but possibly
  18. better than waiting endlessly to see if you will respond to the
  19. telnet request.
